Take the A176 turn off (Five Bells roundabout).
Take the Basildon exit (follow the hospital A&E sign).
Continue on this road. Basildon University Hospital is on your left-hand side.
From A127
Take the Basildon (A176) turn off towards Basildon Town Centre.
The route to the hospital is clearly marked with red hospital A&E signs.
From A12
Take the A130 turn off towards Basildon.
Continue on the A130 until it merges onto the A13.
Take the A176 turn off (Five Bells roundabout).
Take the Basildon exit (follow the hospital A&E sign).
Continue on this road.
Basildon University Hospital is on your left-hand side.

The coffee bar in the main restaurant is open 7.30am–8pm, serving drinks and snacks.
A range of hot and cold foods including sandwiches, salad, fruit and snacks is served in the main restaurant:
Breakfast: 7.30am to 10.30am, Monday to Sunday
Lunch: 11.45am to 2pm Monday to Friday, and 12pm to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday
Dinner: 5.30pm to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 5pm to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday
The League of Friends tea bars offer hot and cold drinks, filled rolls and snacks.
Outpatient department: 10am to 3pm Monday to Thursday, and 10am to 1pm on Friday
Antenatal department: 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday
The café is open 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 9.30am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday serving a range of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and snacks.
Outpatients (Boots The Chemist) in the main entrance concourse, open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank holidays (excluding Christmas Day and New Years Day) open 9.30am to 2.30pm.
The RVS shop is located by the main entrance and sells papers and magazines, confectionary, cards and a small range of essential items. Opening times are:
Monday: 9.30am to 7.30pm
Tuesday: 8am to 7.30pm
Wednesday: 9.30am to 7.30pm
Thursday: 8am to 7.30pm
Friday: 9.30am to 4.30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9.30am to 4.30pm
The RVS baby shop is open 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday, selling confectionary and a small range of baby items.
Vending machines are available outside the restaurant, in accident and emergency (A&E) and in the CTC outpatient department.
Located on Level C in the main reception area. The office is open 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, closed bank holidays.

The Cashier's Offices provide a range of services to patients and visitors including:
Hospital Travel Cost Scheme
Patients can make claims for reimbursement of travel costs related to receiving NHS treatment, through a referral by a doctor or dentist, if in receipt of a qualifying benefit.
Concessionary parking permit
To assist patients, relatives and carers who need to visit the hospital regularly and frequently, concessionary parking is available in certain circumstances and car parking passes can be issued. The refundable deposit of £5 can be paid for these passes at the General Cashier's Office.
Payment of prescription charges
Patients who receive an invoice for prescription items they received at the hospital can pay by cash, cheque or credit card at the General Cashier's Office.
